The tumbling motion and parabolic path through the solar system of interstellar object 1I/2017 U1, better known as “Oumuamua”, inspired this album of slowly unfolding music.
Hawaiian for “scout”, Oumuamua is a herald for the impossible vastness of space. This is an album—constructed from random, refracted sounds and analogue synths bent into the shape of music—about looking outwards, but also looking inwards, too.
